Colleen Pecoraro, DPT, is a Physical Therapist with a strong foundation in exercise physiology and a deep passion for helping individuals return to the activities they love. She earned her B.S. in Exercise Physiology from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and completed her Doctorate of Physical Therapy at High Point University.
Colleen has clinical interests in orthopedics, ice sports, pain science, geriatrics, and vestibular rehabilitation. Her professional background includes experience as a Physical Therapy Aide in outpatient orthopedics, an Exercise Physiologist in cardiac and pulmonary rehab, and a Certified Nursing Assistant and Medical Assistant—all of which shaped her well-rounded, patient-centered approach.
A former competitive figure skater, Colleen earned two senior-level gold medals and brings that same discipline and performance mindset into her physical therapy practice. Her certification as an Exercise Physiologist allows her to blend strength, cardiovascular, and plyometric training to develop functional, individualized treatment plans that meet each patient’s goals.
She has also contributed to academic research in muscle regeneration in sarcopenia and complex pain presentations following injury, emphasizing her commitment to evidence-based care.
