Shavonne Simmons, CPT, is a NASM Certified Personal Trainer with over five years of experience helping clients build strength, improve mobility, and develop sustainable fitness routines. With a strong foundation in physiology and program design, she specializes in creating personalized training plans tailored to each client’s goals, experience level, and lifestyle.

Before joining Performance Optimal Health, Shavonne worked as a personal trainer at Equinox, where she coached clients through structured strength training programs while emphasizing proper form, injury prevention, and long-term progress. She is known for her motivating coaching style and her ability to help clients stay accountable while building confidence in their fitness journey.

Shavonne takes a highly individualized approach to training—focusing on functional movement, progressive strength development, and education so clients understand the “why” behind their workouts. Whether someone is new to fitness or looking to elevate their performance, she works closely with each client to create a program that is both challenging and sustainable.

She holds a Bachelor of Science in Liberal Studies from Southern Connecticut State University and maintains multiple certifications including NASM Certified Personal Trainer and CPR/AED certification.
