Colleen Pecoraro, PT, DPT is a Physical Therapist, personal trainer and Pilates instructor with a strong foundation in exercise physiology and a passion for helping individuals move, perform, and feel their best. She earned her B.S. in Exercise Physiology from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from High Point University.
Colleen has been deeply immersed in the Performance Optimal Health model since her time as a student, where she trained under the POH team and developed her skills in comprehensive, interdisciplinary care. This experience shaped her approach to integrating strength training, Pilates-based movement, and evidence-driven rehabilitation to help clients achieve optimal function and long-term health.
With clinical interests in orthopedics, performance optimization, and movement efficiency, Colleen combines her background in exercise physiology with advanced physical therapy techniques to create customized programs that enhance strength, stability, and recovery.
A former competitive figure skater and two-time senior gold medalist, Colleen brings the same discipline, precision, and body awareness that defined her athletic career into her practice. She excels at blending performance training, corrective exercise, and mindful movement to support clients across all activity levels—from returning to sport to maintaining lifelong wellness.
Colleen has also contributed to academic research on muscle regeneration and complex pain, reinforcing her commitment to clinical excellence and evidence-based care.
