Matt Carter

Matt Carter, PT, DPT, CSCS, is a physical therapist and strength and conditioning specialist based in Hamden. Matt enjoys working with all populations, but has a particular interest in working with athletes (specifically overhead athletes) and active adults. He has completed multiple rotations at various physical therapy clinics, including Yale New Haven and Carolton Chronic & Convalescent Hospital, among others.
While obtaining his doctorate in physical therapy, Matt contributed to and presented an APTA Combined Sections Meeting Platform Presentation, Pre- and Post-Season Flexor Digitorum Superficialis Length and Palmar Pinch Strength in Collegiate Baseball Pitchers.
Matt enjoys helping people as well as guiding them to overcome their injuries and return to what they love to do. As someone who loves movement and exercise, the combination of movement and helping individuals was the perfect path for Matt.
In his off time, you can find Matt exercising, playing golf or basketball, or spending time with family and friends.
